The network supports its members through events, by raising awareness of LGBT+ issues and contributing to the development of BTP policies and the agenda on equality and diversity. They also provide advice and guidance to BTP on LGBT+ issues in support of the Force’s policing objectives. Our aims are to:

Support and develop LGBT+ staff by arranging awareness sessions about topical areas, supporting staff to achieve their potential via various training courses, to support staff that are being bullied or victimised.

Provide LGBT+ staff with networking opportunities by organising regular meetings, annual general meeting, socials and awareness sessions throughout the year

Advice on BTP policy and standard operating procedures by canvassing members opinions on a variety of issues

Provide advice and guidance on LGBT+ issues in support of the policing objectives

Identify and influence national and local issues which affect LGBT+ staff by supporting staff at national/local pride events
